Samarth Portal DU: slc.uod.ac.in Login, SOL & Exam Form
Delhi University’s Samarth student portal is slc.uod.ac.in. The address has neither “samarth” nor “du.ac.in” in it, so it is easy to land on the wrong site. DU’s own exam notices name this address for registration, course selection and the semester exam form. Your login ID there is your enrolment number.
SLC stands for student life cycle, and the portal is DU’s instance of the Samarth eGov suite, the Ministry of Education’s platform for universities. Admission, B.Tech and ITEP applications run on separate DU Samarth sites with different login IDs, covered further down.
Logging in to slc.uod.ac.in
The sign-in box asks for your enrolment number and password. If you have never used the portal, create the account first through New Registration. You can register with your enrolment number or, if you do not have one yet, your examination roll number. The OTP goes to the mobile number and email linked to your Samarth record.
Keep these ready before you start:
- your enrolment number (DU issues it after admission) or your examination roll number;
- access to the mobile number and email your college has on record;
- your name exactly as it is printed on your ID card.
Then register:
- Open slc.uod.ac.in and click New Registration.
- Select your programme and type your name as on your ID card.
- Under Mode of Registration, pick Enrolment Number or Examination Roll Number, and type it.
- Type the captcha and click Submit.
- Enter the OTP, then create a strong password.
- Return to the sign-in page and log in with your enrolment number and password.

DU’s notice asks students to keep a record of the username and password. A forgotten password is reset from Reset Password under the sign-in box. If the OTP goes to an old number or email, contact your college, department or centre, since the notice sends all form queries there.
SOL students: Samarth or the SOL website?
It depends on how you study. DU’s January 2026 notice for the Semester II, IV and VI exam form covered regular, NCWEB and SOL students alike, and sent them to the Samarth student portal. SOL’s annual-mode ex-students and promoted students work differently: SOL’s notice of 26 October 2026 sends them to the portal on its own website.
That SOL notice extended the exam form last date to 15 November 2026 for:
- UG Part I ex-students, and Part II and Part III ex/promoted students;
- PG Part I ex-students and Part II ex/promoted students.
Those forms are filled through the official portal on sol.du.ac.in. The notice does not apply to students who joined the first year in 2026. Go by the notice that covers your exam: if it comes from SOL and names sol.du.ac.in, fill the form there; if it is DU’s semester exam notice, use SLC.
The exam form runs in two parts
On SLC, the exam form is two forms in sequence: course selection first, then the examination form. DU’s notice lists the order. The papers you select in course selection are the ones the exam form offers, so check them before you submit.
The steps, as DU’s notice lists them:
- Log in with your enrolment number and password to reach your dashboard.
- Find the active examination session.
- Go to the course selection form, select the papers offered to you, and submit.
- Preview the form and update the courses if needed.
- Go to the examination form.
- Select your PwD status and percentage of disability, if any.
- Select the regular courses, and improvement courses if you are taking any.
- Submit the examination form and pay the exam fee.
- Keep a printout of the submitted form.
The same schedule covers essential repeaters, improvement candidates and ex-students under CBCS (LOCF) and NEP-UGCF-2022. Only students promoted to Part II or Part III can fill the Semester IV or VI form.
Skipping the form has a long tail. DU’s notice says students who do not register and fill the exam form become ineligible for all later exams until they do.
After you pay: correction, verification, admit card
Submitting is not the last step. Each DU exam cycle has a short window after the last date when your college can correct your form at your request. No fresh forms are accepted then. Your college, department or centre then verifies the form, and the University issues the admit card only after that.
For the May 2026 exams, college corrections and verification took the first week after the late-fee deadline, and admit cards followed the next day. Each new cycle gets its own notice with fresh dates.
During verification, your college checks your name, gender, course and parent’s name. It also checks that you filled all earlier exam forms, that you are eligible for promotion, and that each paper’s UPC code and title is right. If any of these is wrong on your form, raise it with your college before the correction window closes.
Internal assessment marks on Samarth
DU uploads internal assessment and tutorial marks to the Samarth portal, so you can check them during the semester. Samarth eGov reported in May 2025 that students log in with their usual credentials to view these marks. If a mark looks wrong, take it to your department, which follows the university’s procedure for corrections.
Admission portals ask for a different ID
Applicants do not use SLC. DU’s admission portals also run on Samarth, but each one logs you in with the ID of the entrance test behind it. Your enrolment number will not open them, and an application number will not open SLC:
- Undergraduate admission (CSAS UG) at ugadmission.uod.ac.in uses your CUET (UG) application number and password.
- B.Tech admission at engineering.uod.ac.in uses your JEE application number.
- ITEP admission at itep.uod.ac.in uses your NCET application number.
DU posts admission updates on admission.uod.ac.in. Your SLC account starts only after admission, once you have an enrolment number.
Pages that look like a DU guide but are not
Search results for DU’s Samarth portal mix in addresses and guides that belong elsewhere. Three of them can stop a login or send you to the wrong form, so rule them out before you type your enrolment number anywhere.
Some guide sites give du.samarth.edu.in as DU’s student portal. DU’s exam notice names slc.uod.ac.in, so use that address.
Pages on docs.demosamarthx.du.ac.in describe a SamarthX school platform that logs in with a student PEN number and date of birth. That is not the DU student portal, and its steps will not work on SLC.
“Samarth portal NIT Delhi” is a different institution with its own portal. If a guide mixes NIT Delhi into DU instructions, close it.
